Child Abuse Prevention & Awareness

In 2025, 690 children in Lubbock County were confirmed victims of abuse or neglect. What is hardest for many people to hear is that most abuse happens inside the home, often at the hands of someone a child knows and trusts.

Child abuse is preventable. When families have support, education, and resources, children are safer.  We have tools to help you understand the issue, recognize warning signs, and know what to do when something feels wrong.

Many people still picture child abuse as something committed by a stranger. The reality is much harder, and much closer to home.
