In 2021, 970 Lubbock County children were confirmed victims of child abuse.  That is according to the Department of Family Protective Services.  

​

The Blue Ribbon Campaign was established in 2018 in a joint collaboration with Happy State Bank. Each flag represents a victim of child abuse/neglect in Lubbock County. Our hope is that this campaign will serve as an education tool to our community, to highlight the ever-growing problem of child abuse.

 

By educating the community about the statistics of child abuse in our area, we aim to empower residents to take action in helping to reduce these numbers - and ultimately, creating a community without child abuse or neglect.

Help us prevent child abuse by educating families and children. All money raised benefits the Family Guidance & Outreach Center.

Flags will be on display from April 3 through April 7th, 2023

at Kastman Park.
